Who are the Hispanics? Where do they come from? In the year 1492, two worlds yet unknown to one another, met for the first time. An Italian explore named Christopher Columbus had sailed west across the Atlantic Ocean under the flag of Spain in search of a new route to Asia. Instead, he won fame by making landfall on what one day become known as the Americas. Following this historic voyage adventurer from Spain, joined those from France, Portugal & other European Nations in populating this New World. The widely different physical characteristics found today among Spanish speaking people reflect varied multicultural influences. Although modern descendants still speak the Spanish Language, there is a wide variety in usage, dialect, vocabulary and accent. Written by Rosalie Bocelli / Narrated by Claude Pickett
