The new Fuquay-Varina Arts Council displayed contributed art from local artist with several pieces donated for their silent auction. The 7 pieces sold raised $300 for the Arts Council. Additionally, several local musicians contributed their talent for awareness to our Arts Council by performing as street performers to make our space at the overall event a bit more interesting. Pictured is the Arts Council President David Morris manning the Art exhibit. Among the Street Performers was Sergey Pudov of the Ural Mountain area of Russia, pictured here playing the Balalaika. Sergey is being hosted in Fuquay-Varina as he is visiting for the year on a Cultural/Guest Visa.

The Fuquay-Varina Arts Council now has its 501(c)(3) status as a Non-Profit Corporation. Visit their web Site at www.Fuquay-VarinaArtsCouncil.org for more information about this local organization. All funds raised by the Council will be used to support the Arts in its many forms in our community.
