FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. -
The town of Fuquay-Varina is planning to build the second phase of Judd Parkway from U.S. 401 to N.C. 55.
This the second section of a four-section loop that will go around the town. Just this section of the road is a $4.5 million project that spans about 1.5 miles.
The town cut a lot out of this year's budget but officials felt this project was a priority.
The remainder of the loop will be built within the next 10 years. The town also has the four-lane right of way already in place to expand the road if necessary in the future.
