WAKE COUNTY, N.C.

(RALEIGH) -- Don't think just green. Think Olive. Think green practices combined with putting more green in your pocket. Think sustainability, creativity and profitability. That's the Olive Design Build way of thinking. The new firm collaborates closely with clients to:put design+build projects into the hands of architects -- not just a general contractor -- who understand the core visioncreate and construct unique spaces people loveemploy green practices and innovations to produce benefits that pay back. On the other hand, Olive does away with old fashioned bidding and change orders -- the bureaucracy that drains away time and money. And though Olive's principals are acclaimed architects, the firm is not hung up on accolades. Success in the client's eyes is what counts to the Olive team that shepherded the project from start to finish. Olive is about the real world -- a world with little use for yesterday's model."Today, everyone from moms to moguls are looking harder at both sustainability and the bottom line," says Jonathan Wolk, an Olive founder. "Our process allows speed and value to coexist while paying back big time benefits. Isn’t it more profitable and less wasteful to go with a smarter process that does not sacrifice goals?"Olive's smarts helped American Asset Corporation in Raleigh steer through a tight spot. The company had to quickly move into new office space. "Aside from timing, the key practical consideration was building a useable space matching our design aesthetic that was functional immediately and for the long term," says AAC Executive Vice President Joe Dye. "The other key consideration was budget. Olive delivered. Responsiveness was excellent."The team also recently completed an expansion for Buffalo Brothers Pizza & Wing Co. "We were looking for an exciting, family friendly outdoor dining area," says owner Matt Boyd. "Olive designed and completed a unique space that accommodates all our needs. Space, weather, TV viewing. We were surprised how much was done with the area."Olive's portfolio and pipeline includes residential projects, restaurants, hotels, offices and retail spaces. Prior to launching Olive, the three principles -- Wolk, F. Thomas Murphy and Andy O. Lawrence -- worked together on projects such as Greenboro's Proximity, the nation's first AAA Four Diamond LEED Platinum hotel and restaurant. Olive continues and deepens that tradition of innovation. For more information, please visit www.olivedesignbuild.com and/or contact Jonathan Wolk at 919-291-7622.
