An overturned tar truck on eastbound Hwy 55 near US 1 in Apex caused some traffic delays this morning.
All eastbound lanes are now back open. Eastbound traffic had been directed onto one westbound lane of Hwy 55.
According to Apex Police, the B&B Paving truck was on the exit ramp from US 1 to Hwy 55 around 6:30 a.m. when one of its tires malfunctioned, causing the tar to shift and force the truck to fall on its side.
No one was injured.
